It may not look like it...
But I'm hungry.
I have been stuck at just above 220 lbs for quite some time now. Roughly since July 2024. Down from 245 lbs back in December of 2023.
The 245 to just above 220 lbs was due to adding in higher intensity workouts. And for the most part, I was generally eating healthy along with eating whatever, whenever I wanted.
Six weeks ago, I re-downloaded the MyFitnessPal app. A couple of years ago, when I first tried this app it was all free. Now you have to pay $80 to make it user-friendly. However, $80 makes you committed. The MyFitnessPal app counts your calories and sends the info to your Garmin fitness watch, which counts the calories you burn. With this app you can scan the barcode of the food you eat, enter the amount of servings and it logs all the nutritional values you eat during the day. Eating out? It has menus of most major restaurants. Eating at a friend’s house? Just type in what you are eating and it will give you a ballpark number.
I was down to 213.4 lbs earlier this week and 215.0 lbs as of today. The hardest days to stay under my calorie limit, are the days that I don’t exercise. Typically Saturday and Sunday. When you restrict how many calories you eat, what you eat becomes more valuable.

A snapshot of my weight over the past year on my Garmin app.
